A Single Snapshot: Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat

Holyrood Park and its highest peak, Arthur’s Seat, are supposed to be one of the top Edinburgh attractions. The park is a 650-acre natural playground just a mile outside of the center of the city, with features like lush green hills and rugged crags trimming the landscape. From the top of ancient volcano Arthur’s Seat, roughly 822 feet high, you’re supposed to get some of the best views of Edinburgh and its environs.

But I wouldn’t know what the view looks like, personally. The closest I ever got to Holyrood Park was through the lens. If I ever get back to Scotland, visiting Holyrood Park and climbing to the top of Arthur’s Seat will be number one and two on my must-do list of things to do in Edinburgh.
